Change To WWE WrestleMania 37 Match Confirmed
A new team has officially been added to WrestleMania 37 Night 1's Tag Team Turmoil match.
The team of Billie Kay and Carmella have now officially been added to WrestleMania 37 Night 1's Tag Team Turmoil match.
This confirmation came during last night's special WrestleMania 37 go-home edition of Friday Night SmackDown. As The Riott Squad's Ruby Riott and Liv Morgan were interviewed backstage, 'Mella and the former IIconic intervened, paving the way for an all-out brawl between the teams involved in the Women's Tag Team Championship number one contenders contest.
This now means that Carmella and Kay will join the likes of Dana Brooke & Mandy Rose, Lana & Naomi, The Riott Squad, and Tamina & Natalya in the multi-woman contest, with the winners going on to face Champions Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler on Night 2.
There was talk of 2020 MVP Bayley potentially teaming with Kay for a time coming into this year's Show of Shows, but those potential plans have now clearly been scrapped in favour of throwing the former Women's Tag Champ into a unit with the former SmackDown Women's Champion and wine connoisseur instead.
Will Kay and 'Mella be able to overcome the rest of a hopeful field and seize a shot at the belts on Night 2? We'll just have to tune in tonight to find out...
