TakeOver: In Your House may be the last NXT fans see of Charlotte Flair for a while.

This is according to Wrestling Inc., whose sources claim that 'The Queen' is "done" with the black-and-gold brand for the meanwhile, having lost her NXT Women's Championship to Io Shirai in a Triple Threat also featuring Rhea Ripley at In Your House.

That match's finish led to speculation of a Shirai/Flair singles bout for the gold, as Io pinned Ripley with a Moonsault while Charlotte had 'The Nightmare' locked in her Figure Eight finisher. Triple H talked the possibility up on the post-show media call, stating the conclusion was done for "specific storytelling purposes," though Wrestling Inc.'s report suggests WWE's course has changed.

Charlotte was reportedly brought to NXT to help ratings in the ongoing battle with AEW. Her presence has produced no palpable spike, so it makes sense that they'd pull her out.

A true brand-hopper, Flair's has appeared on all three of WWE's biggest shows in recent months. Last night saw he go one-on-one with Raw Women's Champion Asuka, defeating 'The Empress of Tomorrow' when Asuka's Backlash opponent, Nia Jax, made her presence felt. This may potentially set Charlotte up for another shot at the Raw belt.
