Chavo Guerrero Debuts As Andrade El Idolo's New Consultant On AEW Dynamite

It was out with Vickie, in with Chavo for Andrade at AEW Fyter Fest.

Chavo Guerrero is All Elite.

The former WWE and WCW wrestler debuted on last night's Fyter Fest special episode of Dynamite, during which he was introduced as Andrade El Idolo's new executive consultant.

Andrade brought Chavo out during an in-ring segment with Tony Schiavone. Emerging to a big response from the Texas crowd (unsurprising, given he was born in the state), Chavo put the audience, AEW, and his client over, before getting into it with Death Triangle when the PAC-led trio emerged, bailing with Andrade before things could get too heated.

In coming in as El Idolo's consultant, Chavo effectively his replaces aunt, Vickie Guerrero, as the former La Sombra's second. Andrade was originally brought into AEW alongside Vickie but segments featuring the duo weren't particularly well-received, critical. This may have prompted the decision.

Now 50 years old, Chavo has worked only a handful of wrestling matches over the past few years, with his last outing being a victory over NJPW's Rocky Romero at Josh Barnett's Bloodsport over WrestleMania 37 weekend in Florida. There's currently no word on whether or not he'll be stepping between the ropes for AEW.
