On Monday's episode of Raw, General Manager Mick Foley signed a new match for Clash of Champions - Chris Jericho versus Sami Zayn.

Over the past several weeks, Jericho has become best friends with new WWE Universal Champion Kevin Owens, who has feuded with Zayn for almost two years. Jericho was planning on interviewing Owens on his Highlight Reel talk show, but when Foley pulled Owens from the segment and replaced him with Zayn, Jericho was put in a bad mood.

When The Highlight Reel came around, Jericho was rude to Zayn, but the former NXT Champion returned the favor, calling Jericho a "stupid idiot" for trusting Owens. Jericho tried to protest, but Zayn continued, talking about how he used to look up to Jericho, Dean Malenko, and Eddie Guerrero, but now Jericho was just Owens's bitch. Y2J retaliated by hitting Zayn with a cell phone.

Though Sami Zayn has only been a part of the main roster since March, this will mark his fourth televised singles match with Jericho. Zayn scored a DQ win on an episode of Smackdown in April, but Jericho pinned Zayn the following week on Raw. Zayn responded with a pinfall win of his own on a July episode of Smackdown.

Clash of Champions airs on the WWE Network on September 25 at 8:00 ET.
