To many, one of the great potential matches on the table for Christian Cage during his latest run with IMPACT Wrestling, is seeing the Instant Classic go up against Josh Alexander. And now, that match has been confirmed for next month's Bound for Glory PPV.

Last night saw Christian successfully defend the IMPACT World Championship against Ace Austin at IMPACT's Victory Road. After a 12-minute back and forth, Cage hit the Unprettier to pick up the W.

While that match impressed with the time it was given, the bigger story came post-match. There, as Christian Cage celebrated his victory, X Division Champion Josh Alexander entered the ring and laid down the challenge.

Taking the mic, Alexander simply said, "Bound for Glory, Option C" as both men held their respective titles in the air.

Since then, IMPACT Wrestling has made it official, with Alexander cashing-in his X Division Championship in exchange for a shot at Cage's IMPACT World Title on 23 October.

Option C is a concept first introduced back in 2012, with that allowing the X Division Champion to vacate that title in order to get a chance at the then-TNA World Title. Austin Aries was the person to usher this in on-screen, as he gave up the X Division Title and eventually dethroned Bobby Roode to become TNA World Champion.
