CM Punk is heading to Australia with WWE next month.

While recent reports suggest that Roman Reigns will not be at WWE Elimination Chamber next month, one huge name who will be at that Perth, Australia-housed PLE is CM Punk.

Whether he wrestles or simply makes an appearance is unknown right now, but WWE has formally announced the Second City Saint as being at Optus Stadium for Elimination Chamber on 24 February.

Of course, the recent Raw return of the Rock and his quip about maybe sitting at the head of the table had many pondering with the Great One could go one-on-one with Roman Reigns at either WrestleMania XL or Elimination Chamber.

Given how many believe Cody Rhodes will finish his story at 'Mania XL against the Tribal Chief, some presumed that if a Rock vs. Roman match was to happen, it would be at Elimination Chamber. However, with those stories of Reigns not currently booked to compete at Elimination Chamber, that obviously rules out any such bout between these cousins.

As for CM Punk, he's had two non-televised matches since spectacularly returning to WWE at last year's Survivor Series, getting the better of Dominik Mysterio on two occasions as part of the company's recent Holiday Tour.

With the Royal Rumble on the imminent horizon later this month, Punk is a hot favourite to win the men's Rumble and then go on to face Seth Rollins for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania XL. WWE could always have someone else win the Rumble - possibly Cody Rhodes - and have the Straight-Edge Superstar earn his 'Mania title shot at Elimination Chamber.
