CM Punk's 10 Worst WWE Matches

2. CM Punk vs. Kane (SmackDown; May 28, 2010)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sA2McwRDXPg Of all the Superstars he has feuded with all the years, regardless of their size or in-ring skill, CM Punk has managed to get a passable match out of most of them. One individual that Punk has collided with countless times with over the years, however, has been the exception to that rule: Kane. One of the most respected workers in the business, Kane has had a handful of great matches over the course of his career, just none of them being with Punk. That said, it's mind-boggling to think they've faced off on multiple pay-per-views including Backlash 2009 and No Way Out 2012. None of their matches together have been particularly good, but their meeting on the May 28, 2010 edition of SmackDown was on an all-new level of atrocious. A qualifying match for the World Heavyweight Championship match at Fatal 4-Way, Punk had just debuted a mask that covered his freshly shaven bald head. So, it's very possible that Punk was still adapting to wearing the mask during matches and simply had a hard time seeing through it. Combine that with the fact that these two just don't work well together and you have yourself a terrible outing from both men. The leader of The Straight Edge Society picked up the victory after executing of the worst GTS finishers ever. How that made it through post-production is still a mystery to many.
