Cody Rhodes Deletes Twitter Account Due To "Sniping & Negativity"
The AEW EVP has removed himself from Twitter after saying he'd do so last week.
Cody Rhodes deleted his Twitter account at some point in the last 12 hours.
Navigating to his former profile now leads you to the standard "This account does not exist" page, with the AEW executive vice president seemingly removing himself from the platform.
This follows Rhodes' promise to do so last week. Speaking on SiriusXM's Busted Open Radio, the former AEW TNT Champion had claimed he would be leaving Twitter due to "the amount of sniping and negativity on there," moving his entire social media presence over to his Instagram account, which remains active.

2021 has been a mixed year for Rhodes as far as crowd reactions and critical reception to his AEW output go. Though he has usually been positioned far from the promotion's main event scene, his once-partisan babyface ovations have turned decidedly mixed. He remains one of the most over people in AEW, and president Tony Khan has stated that it has been a long time since Cody's reactions were the opposite of what was intended, though the jeers are impossible to hide.
Rhodes teamed with PAC to defeat Malakai Black and Andrade El Idolo at Full Gear 2021 on Saturday (13 November).
