WrestleMania Backlash gained its second match Monday night, and it was the upcoming PLE's second WrestleMania rematch at that.

Cody Rhodes accepted Seth Rollins' challenge on Raw Monday night to a rematch of their WrestleMania bout, which the returning Rhodes won. The challenge came after Cody mentioned to Miz earlier that he'd definitely fight Seth again if the opportunity presented itself.

Rhodes returned to WWE at WrestleMania 38 as Vince McMahon's handpicked opponent for Rollins on Saturday night. The return was all but certain for a while, but it still blew the roof off the joint when Cody came out as his American Nightmare persona, essentially untouched from AEW. Rhodes won the match, and the following night, Rollins came to the ring to shake his hand and welcome him back to Raw.

Monday, Rollins sat ringside during Rhodes' match against The Miz, which Cody won. That's when the Architect climbed into the ring to lay down his challenge.

WrestleMania Backlash will take place on May 8. The only other match officially announced is a Mania rematch between Charlotte Flair and Ronda Rousey for Flair's SmackDown Women's Championship in an I Quit match.
