Following last night’s episode of AEW Dynamite, it looks as if the company will soon be giving fans its first ever Coffin Match.

After Ethan Page had put away Bear Bronson with his patented Ego’s Edge, Page got on the mic and boldly laid out a challenge for Darby Allin.

Explaining how he wants to put the final nail in Allin’s coffin, All Ego then challenged the former TNT Champion to a Coffin Match at AEW Dynamite: Road Rager on 7 July.

Allin has yet to formally accept that challenge for the upcoming Miami, Florida-set episode of Dynamite, but one has to imagine that the fearless Daredevil babyface will be more than willing to take up Page’s offer for Road Rager. Darby and Sting have had plenty of hefty beef with Ethan Page and Scorpio Sky in recent weeks, and this Coffin Match the next step in this rivalry - with the contest clearly a nice word-associated tie-in with Darby Allin's Coffin Drop finishing move.

Already confirmed for the 7 July Dynamite is Cody Rhodes vs. QT Marshall in a South Beach Strap Match
