Colt Cabana Reveals Original AEW Storyline Plans With Brodie Lee

Here's what AEW had planned for the Colt Cabana/Brodie Lee storyline.

Colt Cabana has told Fightful Select that plans for him and Brodie Lee to feud were put together shortly after Lee's AEW World Title match with Jon Moxley.

Mox defeated Brodie to retain his coveted championship in a hard-hitting match at Double Or Nothing 2020. According to Colt, he pitched the idea to feud with the Dark Order leader shortly after this went down.

Cabana and Lee were closely linked during their shared time in AEW. Brodie started pulling Colt towards the Dark Order when Cabana was down on his luck, picking up losses left, right, and centre, eventually succeeding in bringing him into the group. A fully-fledged member of the Order by summer, Cabana remains with the stable to date.

Colt has compiled a winning record of 13-4 in 2021. Largely restricted to Dark and Dark: Elevation, he has worked just one Dynamite bout, teaming with stablemates Alex Reynolds and John Silver, as well as Hangman Page, to defeat Luther, Serpentico, Angelico, and Jack Evans.

He last wrestled in a six-man tag win over the Hardy Family Office on this week's episode of Dark.
