AEW has officially confirmed the signing of Colt Cabana after a surprise appearance from the tenured indie star at last night's Revolution pay-per-view.

Those watching the event's Buy In pre-show would have caught The Dark Order defeating SoCal Uncensored in tag action. This led to a post-match brawl that saw Colt's music hit as the Order were beating SCU down, with the Chicagoan emerging to a big pop in his hometown. Though he ran wild initially, it took a robed Christopher Daniels to truly turn the tide for the babyfaces, with SCU and Cabana running Evil Uno, Grayson and co. off to stand tall in the end.

Speaking at Revolution's post-show media scrum, Tony Khan confirmed that his promotion has indeed signed Colt to a deal. Calling Cabana a "valuable mind," the AEW President confirmed the newcomer would be able to work for other promotions as part of his deal and suggested he could work as a wrestler, commentator, and producer for the company.

It's nice to see one of wrestling's good guys nailing a big-time contract with a major wrestling promotion after so long. Let's hope Cabana proves to be a valuable asset to AEW.
