Could THIS Be The Name Of AEW's New TNT "Supercards"?

A trademark filing could provide the answer to AEW's Clash of the Champions equivalent.

Yesterday's announcement that AEW Dynamite (and the company's new one-hour weekly, Rampage) will be moving from TNT to TBS in 2022 was accompanied by news that the promotion would retain a presence on its original station in the former of four annual supercard events.

It appeared, at first glance, that AEW was looking at a model similar to the NWA and WCW's old Clash of the Champions series, which presented pay-per-view calibre matches on TBS between 1988 and 1997.

Interestingly, AEW filed a trademark application for the similarly alliterative Battle of the Belts in January, doing so for the following purpose:-

That AEW is yet to book a show with this name. While the company hasn't confirmed anything regarding these supercards, but Battle of the Belts could potentially work for it.

Adding these TNT specials gives AEW eight big shows to build to annual, with the Revolution, Double Or Nothing, All Out, and Full Gear pay-per-views already established.
