A planned match between Scorpio Sky and Shawn Spears was pulled from last night's episode of AEW Dynamite as a COVID-19 precaution.

The promotion announced prior to the broadcast that Sky had come into contact with somebody who had tested positive for the illness currently ravaging the planet, leading to him being removed from the card. Though he had tested negative at the time of the announcement, AEW played it safe, with the Spears match put on ice for now.

AEW President Tony Khan tweeted that the company would soon announce a replacement. Minutes later, The Young Bucks vs. Private Party was confirmed.

A rematch of a bout that took place on Dynamite's second episode last October, it saw the Jackson brothers take the win ahead of their Full Gear clash with FTR, who attacked the duo afterwards. Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood were ran off by Kenny Omega and Hangman Page before they could inflict further damage on Matt's wounded ankle.

Sky vs. Spears had been building since September's Late Night Dynamite show, on which Scorp saved Matt Sydal from a Spears beatdown after 'The Chairman' had defeated the former Evan Bourne.
