Current World Champion Ruled OUT With Injury Issue
This major player is set for a spell on the sidelines...
In some unfortunate news, Alexander Hammerstone is currently out of action.
Despite working this past weekend's El Paso house show for MLW, the company's World Heavyweight Champion is now set for a spell on the sidelines.
As per Mike Johnson at PWInsider, Hammer has been confirmed to be missing tomorrow's AAW event that he was previously scheduled for. The belief is that the powerhouse recently suffered a concussion - presumably at the aforementioned house show.
Hammerstone has been the MLW World Champion for over 300 days by now, having brought an end to Jacob Fatu's record-setting 819-day reign with that prize at the Fightland special last October. Prior to that, Alex was a member of MLW's Dynasty - along with MJF and Richard Holliday - during his early days with the promotion and became MLW's inaugural National Openweight Champion in June 2019.
Since those days in the Dynasty and with the Openweight Title, the 31-year-old was brilliantly positioned as the man to eventually bring Fatu's reign of terror to an end at the top of the MLW mountain.
There's no word on just how long Alexander Hammerstone will be out of action for, but here's hoping the hugely talented star is cleared to compete sooner rather than later.
