Current WWE Star Now Viewed As 'Top Level Player'

It looks like this WWE wrestler is set for a big time push under Triple H.

PWInsider is reporting that Damian Priest has received acclaim behind the scenes in WWE for his recent performances.

Triple H, who has been high on Priest since his NXT days, is amongst those praising the Judgment Day member for his work opposite Bad Bunny at Backlash in Puerto Rico last weekend. The pair produced a memorable 'San Juan Street Fight', but Priest (as the seasoned worker) showed his chops as a ring general to guide the rapper through each spot.

It's believed that Damian is viewed internally as a 'top level player' on Raw. However, it does remain to be seen what kind of singles push he could get whilst still tied to Judgment Day - booking a solo run wouldn't be impossible for WWE creative, to be fair. They'd just need to be smart about it.

That's something for the writers to figure out though. For now, it's heartening to hear reports that WWE recognises how hard Priest has been working lately. Fingers crossed they reward him for his efforts vs. Bunny, and for becoming a key part of TV.

At least he's getting a ton of praise backstage.
