Daniel Bryan And Wade Barrett Pulled From WWE Tour
After announcing their returns, WWE has removed the injured superstars from the upcoming events.
Earlier this week, it was announced that both Daniel Bryan and Bad News Barrett would be making their returns to the WWE during the upcoming European tour. Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported that both superstars were added to the schedule of events, set to return on November 5th and 6th, respectively. News has now come in, however, that both superstars have been pulled from the released lineup for the upcoming events. Daniel Bryan was the first to be removed from the schedule and advertisements. While it was reported that WWE had hoped that Bryan would be able to appear in a non-wrestling capacity, it seems that the injured star will be unable to do so. The reason for Bryans removal from the tour is likely linked to his ongoing injuries and rehabilitation. As previously reported, theres been a long discussion about whether or not the leader of the Yes Movement was in need of another operation -- possibly a Tommy John procedure. Initially, Bryan was scheduled for the surgery on the Tuesday following SummerSlam, but it has once again been postponed in order to do further testing. Bryan himself has commented on the situation, stating, I dont want to do the surgery if I dont need it but likewise, if I need the surgery, lets get it done as soon as possible. While speaking with Sam Roberts during SummerSlam weekend, Bryan further stated that the whole thing has been very frustrating as doctors continue to debate whether the operation is truly needed. Bryan has confirmed that if he does go through with the operation, he will need to be at least another three months in order to properly rehab his arm. Shortly following the news that Daniel Bryan would not be participating in the European tour, it was announced the Wade Barrett had also been pulled from the upcoming events. Barrett has been out due to injury as well -- an injury which forced him to vacate his Intercontinental Championship. Barretts separated shoulder required surgery as well, but doctors indicated that the superstar could return to active competition by early December. Its unclear at this time why Barrett was pulled from the tour, as even a non-wrestling appearance would presumably have been possible.
