Daniel Bryan has now been officially banned from Friday Night SmackDown on FOX.

The Leader of the YES! Movement found himself going one-on-one with The Tribal Chief in the main event of last night's blue show. If Bryan won he'd become the new Universal Champion. However, if he lost, he would never be allowed to set foot on Roman Reigns' show ever again.

After a thrilling epic between the two bona fide blue legends, in a match which stretched past 30 minutes on the night, Bryan was eventually on the receiving end of a savage guillotine choke that the former WWE Champion simply couldn't escape from. Passing out in the hold, Reigns was declared the victor before proceeding to attempt a Con-Chair-To on the fallen star. Cesaro would then derail these attempts for a spell, but some Jey Uso interference eventually paved the way for Reigns' to ultimately deliver the sickening chair shot to the loser on the night.

It's still unclear what the future holds for Bryan in the wake of this dramatic SmackDown conclusion. Yet, the obvious options could be for him to pop up on either NXT or Raw in the coming weeks. It's worth remembering that Bryan has been a part of the blue show in some capacity ever since the latest brand split in 2016, so seeing him ply his trade on another brand would no doubt take some getting used to.
