Another second-generation talent has been training with Cody Rhodes.

While many are eagerly awaiting the in-ring debut of Brock Anderson - the son of the legendary Double A - on tonight’s episode of AEW Dynamite, yet another second-generation talent is now sitting under the AEW learning tree.

Speaking to Pro Wrestling Junkies (via Fightful), legendary referee Earl Hebner has revealed how his daughter Katie is training with Cody Rhodes.

“She’s at AEW, training with Cody, and Cody is giving her so much help. It’s unreal. Hopefully, she can be the next Gail Kim.”

Katie herself had mentioned back in April how she had spent some time training with Cody, so it remains to be seen whether that is still ongoing or whether Earl is referencing some previous work his daughter has done with the American Nightmare.

It’s not just her father who Katie can call on for advice, of course, for her uncle Dave and brother Brian have also been involved in the business as referees.

Whether Katie Hebner becomes properly #AllElite at any point remains to be seen, but this is certainly one to keep an eye on – with AEW having already shown at several points how they’re keen to champion and nurture second generation talent.
