Dax Harwood Calls Out AEW's Tony Khan At NJPW Royal Quest II

"Book us, brother."

Many a wrestling fan has spent the best several weeks and months questioning AEW's use of FTR, and Dax Harwood himself has now given Tony Khan a kindly reminder that they he and Cash Wheeler still work for All Elite Wrestling.

At last night's NJPW Royal Quest II Night 1, FTR successfully defended the IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Titles against the Aussie Open tandem of Kyle Fletcher and Mark Davis. Post-match, Dax grabbed a microphone, thanked the audience and put over Aussie Open as the future of tag team wrestling.

Prior to praising Fletcher and Davis, though, Harwood half-jokingly said, "First thing's first, Tony Khan, we still work for you. Book us, brother."

From Jamie Hollis, who was in attendance at Royal Quest last night:

Bafflingly, FTR have been the number one contenders for the AEW Tag Team Titles since 6 April - that's nearly six months - but have not been given a shot at those straps during that time. In fact, Harwood and Wheeler have only had three AEW matches since winning IWGP gold at Forbidden Door back in June.

Of course, the former Revival nowadays hold the AAA Tag Team Titles and ROH Tag Team Titles in addition to the IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Titles, and many presumed that they'd face the Young Bucks for the AEW Tag Team Titles in a high stakes bout back when the Jacksons held the gold earlier this year.

Instead, the Bucks ultimately dropped the AEW Tag Team Titles to Swerve in Our Glory, who have since lost them to the Acclaimed.
