Dax Harwood Knocked Out At AEW Full Gear 2021? Match Finish Changed

Here's why a certain AEW Full Gear 2021 felt a little wonky on show night...

If you were wondering why the finish to the Lucha Brothers' successful AEW World Tag Team Title defence over FTR at Full Gear 2021 (13 November) felt a little off, it's because it was.

Per Fightful Select, the match had to deviate from the planned finish when Dax Harwood, who was supposed to play into the conclusion, was either knocked out or nearly knocked out. This meant that Cash Wheeler was forced to wrap it up alone against Rey Fenix and Penta El Zero Miedo.

Harwood got rocked by Fenix about 10 minutes into the match, forcing him to take refuge for an extended period while the bout played out. Fightful note that Fenix, who has been known to work stiff in the past, didn't check up on Harwood after the contest, which some people in the locker room took issue with.

Checking in on wrestlers in such situations is referred to as a "common courtesy" here, though there is no major heat following the incident.

An update on Harwood's condition following the potential knockout had yet to emerge at the time of writing. There is currently no word on whether or not Dax will be forced to miss any time.
