Dean Ambrose returned to WWE Raw for the first time since December 2017 last night, acting as an equaliser in Seth Rollins' ongoing feud with Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre.

'The Lunatic Fringe' was sporting a brand new look. Gone were the straggly locks and unkempt beard of old, replaced by a shorn head and cleaner cheek-lines, but the most striking aspect was Ambrose's muscle definition.

Though not quite reaching Jinder Mahal levels of vascularity, Dean looked absolutely ripped. It's as if he spent his 8 months away from the ring doing nought but lifting heavy things and downing protein shakes, and good on him: he looked tremendous.

Rollins brought his Shield brother out during the main event contract signing segment. They cleaned house, quickly taking care of both heels, before 'The Kingslayer' inked the paper to make his and Dolph's Intercontinental Title bout official.

On top of this, it was announced that the new-look Ambrose will accompany his partner to ringside at SummerSlam. It'll be interesting to see what's next for him, as a change in look often means a change in attitude, but for now, it seems like he has Seth's back.
