Having signed a new deal prior to All In this past weekend, there are now some additional details on Swerve Strickland's new AEW contract.

Per Fightful Select, while the exact length is not known, this deal will keep Swerve with Tony Khan's promotion until at least 2028. It was confirmed to the outlet that this is viewed as one of the biggest contracts in AEW history, with the now-former AEW World Champion expected to remain in and around the top of the card through the duration of this deal.

Swerve signed with AEW back in March 2022 on a three-year deal that would have taken him through until March 2025. Having outperformed this initial contract, negotiations began for a new deal during Strickland's time as AEW World Champion, with tying him down viewed as a priority for the company.

Fightful notes that those within AEW have long been "over the moon" with Swerve Strickland's work, and it's no exaggeration to say that Swerve has proved himself to be one of the very best in the industry during his time with AEW - particularly across the past year or so.
