Did This Faction Just Leave NXT For Good?

Popular stable could have reached the end of their run in developmental.

The long and often disjointed saga of the D'Angelo Family and Legado Del Fantasma might have taken its final twist Tuesday night.

The months-long feud between the two stables has seen leaders Tony D'Angelo and Santos Escobar battle for control of the other's group, with Legado being folded into Tony D's family. Last week's Heatwave saw them battle one last time with an added stipulation: If Santos won, LDF would be freed, but if D'Angelo won, Escobar would be banished from NXT. D'Angelo would pick up the win.

Tuesday, Escobar showed up in the parking lot as a dejected Cruz Del Toro, Joaquin Wilde and Elektra Lopez left the arena. He told them that he wasn't leaving without them, and they hopped in the car and drove off together.

Escobar has been part of NXT since 2019, with Legado Del Fantasma forming in mid-2020 and Lopez joining the group in 2021. The stable is one of the more polished and main roster-ready acts in NXT, so it would stand to reason that the group could very well be leaving the developmental brand and headed to Raw or SmackDown soon.

If that's the case, Tuesday's parking lot segment would carry a lot more significance than Santos just driving off for now and then dropping the rest of Legado off at NXT next week.
