Did This WWE Star Just Tease An Unlikely Babyface Turn?

A return to NXT and main roster origins could be on the card for this WWE heel.

Bayley had some interesting things to say during her latest appearance on WWE's 'The Bump' show.

Of course, 'The Bump' is typically a place for workers to further storylines or develop feuds in-character, but a few hints are dropped occasionally. Bayley might've just left a trail of clues for fans to follow. So, what did she say that was so eye-catching?

She said "there's a little, tiny piece of that old NXT Bayley [still] in there" somewhere. That's either a bid to throw people off the scent and make them surprised when Damage CTRL splits from IYO SKY (which looks inevitable), or it's a hint that Bayley is about to turn babyface herself.

Stranger things have happened.

Bayley has been heel since turning in 2019. She did receive cheers upon debuting CTRL alongside IYO and Dakota Kai at SummerSlam 2022, but that was only temporary. It's worth noting that Bayley continued harping on the NXT stuff throughout her appearance on 'The Bump'.

Perhaps there's something in that. It's guesswork, and an attempt to read between the lines, but hardly impossible. Bayley is bound to go baby at some point again eventually.
