Something originally planned for this WWE Raw character didn't end up happening on the show.

WWE may have pulled the plug on plans for Elias to appear on last night's episode of Raw.

Fightful Select reported early on Monday that the promotion planned on integrating Ezekiel's storyline brother in some shape or form. WWE even went as far as preparing materials for the old 'Drifter' character, though the guitar-strummer didn't end up appearing on the broadcast.

There is currently no word on why Elias wasn't on Raw, nor has there been any indication of what the aforementioned materials would have involved.

Performer Jeffrey Sciullo has played both Ezekiel and Elias since returning to WWE television following WrestleMania 38. Last night saw him team with AJ Styles to face The Miz and Ciampa as Ezekiel. The babyface duo scored a disqualification victory when Ciampa, who wasn't the legal man, was penalised for kicking too much ass, with the referee calling for the bell when he wouldn't stop attacking AJ.

Elias was name-dropped in a Seth Rollins promo later on. Prior to this, Ezekiel said that not only had his elder brother always praised Styles, but he'd also spoken about Miz and his tiny testicles.
