Drew Gulak has signed a new contract with WWE.

'The Philadelphia Stretcher' had left the promotion following the expiration of his previous deal on 15 May, with reports suggesting contract talks had reached an impasse over a pay dispute. This has seemingly been resolved now, however, as PWInsider has confirmed that Gulak is back under contract following a Fightful story stating Drew would be part of a battle royal on this week's episode of SmackDown.

Further corroboration comes from WWE.com, with Gulak's bio moved back onto the SmackDown roster after previously being shunted into the alumni section.

Dave Meltzer reported that Gulak's departure from WWE wasn't a "dead issue" in the aftermath of his contract expiring, stating that a new deal could yet be struck between the two parties. Looks like that story was accurate.

Recent months have seen Gulak enjoy a new level of prominence as Daniel Bryan's training partner on SmackDown. an excellent grappler and an underrated, diverse entertainer, he has found a niche beyond 205 Live, and it'll be interesting to see how his career progresses now that he has re-signed with the promotion. There is currently no word on how long he has re-upped for, though.
