Drew McIntyre vs. WALTER, anyone?

While watching last night's inaugural episode of NXT 2.0, the Scottish Warrior took to Twitter to throw out the challenge to Der Ring General.

As McIntyre put it, he's due in Europe next week for a WWE UK tour, and he's offered out the former NXT UK Champion for a "scrap" should WALTER fancy butting heads.

The last time audiences saw WALTER, he lost the NXT UK Title to Ilja Dragunov at NXT TakeOver 36 last month. Since then, the hard-hitting Austrian has been absent from any and all WWE programming.

After dropping the NXT UK Championship to Ilja, there has been certain speculation that WALTER could be gearing up to become a more regular presence on the main NXT brand where his Imperium buddies Marcel Barthel and Fabian Aichner can be found.

As of this writing, WALTER has yet to respond to McIntyre's challenge. And for those wondering, WWE has shows in Newcastle on Sunday 19 September, London on Monday 20 September, Cardiff on Tuesday 21 September, and Glasgow on Wednesday 22 September.
