Drew McIntyre Goes Dark On Twitter, Deletes All WWE References
The former WWE Champion is reportedly in the final year of his contract.
Drew McIntyre has gone dark on his Twitter profile, with the former WWE Champion deleting any references to his current employer. Though his handle still boasts those famous three letters.
With it being reported over the last few weeks that not only is the Scottish Warrior currently in his final year of his contract, but that he and the company weren't said to be close to agreeing an extension, many have been wondering whether McIntyre's time with WWE could be coming to an end in the not too distant future.
An update from PWTorch's Wade Keller stating that Drew was "unhappy with his current situation in WWE" and "WWE is taking seriously the possibility that he is going to let his deal run out rather than agree to something that he believes is less than he deserves or less than what he thinks he has coming," also further suggested an uncertain future for the one-time WrestleMania main eventer.
And the SmackDown star's recent call to black out his Twitter account, on the back of his last tweet on April 3 simply being three waving hand emojis, could perhaps act as the latest hint at McIntyre feeling it's time to bring an end to his WWE chapter.
Drew was last seen wrestling at 'Mania 39, with the titan battling against old pal Sheamus and GUNTHER over the latter's Intercontinental Championship in a five-star instant classic before missing the following two editions of the blue show due to a reported "health issue."
Have fans seen the last of the multiple-time world champ in a WWE squared-circle? Only time will tell...
