Taking to Twitter, Dustin Rhodes has revealed he suffered a busted eardrum during his match against Lance Archer on Friday's AEW Rampage.

In addition to that, the Natural confirmed that he's also had five stitches in his head following his victory over the Murderhawk Monster. Of course, any victory celebrations were cut short when Archer laid a beating on Rhodes after the match.

How serious this eardrum injury is remains to be seen, and it likewise remains to be seen whether Dustin will have to miss any significant ring time.

These days, Rhodes is very much the wily veteran babyface who isn't necessarily a regular in-ring presence on AEW programming, with this Rampage match against Archer being the first time the former Goldust has competed since losing to Sammy Guevarra on the 8 January 2022 episode of Dynamite.

An AEW Original, some have pondered whether the recent AEW exit of Cody Rhodes might ultimately leave to Dustin departing All Elite Wrestling. In several social media posts and interviews since the American Nightmare's departure, the elder Rhodes brother has reiterated that he will be remaining #AllElite - while also wishing Cody the best in whatever is next in his career.
