Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic 2022 Winners Crowned On WWE NXT 2.0
Who took the trophy when MSK met The Creed Brothers on NXT 2.0?
The Creed Brothers have taken this year's men's Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic, winning the cup after defeating MSK on last night's WWE NXT 2.0 show.
Brutus and Julius scored their Vengeance Day victory by putting MSK's Nash Carter away. Driven into the floor with a Spinebuster following an attempted dive, Carter was wiped out with a sliding lariat, leading to Julius pinning him to seal the deal. The Diamond Mine duo then celebrated with manager Malcolm Bivens as confetti rained around them.
In victory, the Creeds have punched their ticket for an NXT Tag Team Title shot against Imperium's Marcel Barthel and Fabian Aichner, though WWE is yet to confirm a date for this.
The Creed Brothers defeated Brooks Jensen and Josh Briggs and Grizzled Young Veterans to earn their spot in last night's finals. MSK, who won last year's Dusty Cup competition and eventually became Tag Team Champions, had beaten Jacket Time and Edris Enofe and Malik Blade.
As reported last month, Julius and Brutus Creed are amongst a group of NXT 2.0 wrestlers WWE officials are said to be very high on. Julius, in particular, has drawn Kurt Angle comparisons for how quickly he has picked pro wrestling up.
