Edge Brutally Attacked After Match On WWE Raw

The Judgment Day doesn't hold back on their former leader.

There never really was much of a chance that the rest of The Judgment Day wasn't going to get involved in Dominik Mysterio's match against Edge Monday night. The only question was whether we'd get a tainted result or just a straight disqualification leading to chaos.

It turns out we got the latter. Edge battered Dominik, tying him up in the ropes and was preparing to put him down when Rey Mysterio jumped into the ring to beg him off. This distraction allowed the rest of The Judgment Day to storm the ring and cause a DQ, beating the Rated-R Superstar down.

What came next solidified Dominik's standing with the heel faction. The younger Mysterio grabbed a steel chair and battered Edge's knee repeatedly, leading to Finn Balor hitting a Coup de Grace onto the injured joint.

It's unclear whether this is designed as an injury angle to take Edge off TV for a lengthy period of time, or if he'll just miss a week or two. If WWE wanted to move Judgment Day away from this story for a bit and let the group exist outside the Mysterio/Edge orbit for a while, a couple of injury angles might be the way to do it.
