Edge's new heel stable started coming together on WrestleMania 38's second night, as the victorious veteran aligned with Damian Priest during and after a victory over AJ Styles.

It was the night's longest match, with Styles and Edge seemingly shooting for a WrestleMania "epic" by working at a methodical pace, spacing their bigger moves out. Though competitive, with several close near-falls, it concluded on shenanigans.

Priest, the former United States Champion, appeared at ringside towards the end, distracting AJ when he was going for the Phenomenal Forearm. Styles leapt into the ring for the move anyway, but was speared out of the sky by Edge for the pinfall.

The heel duo celebrated after the bell, cementing the start of this new alliance.

That WWE was planning on assembling a new heel unit for Edge was reported prior to WrestleMania 38. Fightful Select noted Priest was somebody who had been linked to the group, adding that while the pieces were still falling into place, the faction could start coming together imminently.

There's currently no word on who else WWE will add to the group. Perhaps we'll find out more on tonight's post-WrestleMania Raw.
