In a move sure to anger huge portions of the fanbase, Enzo Amore became WWE Cruiserweight Champion at last night's No Mercy pay-per-view, pinning Neville in just under 11 minutes.

The match layout mirrored the narrative of Enzo's 205 Live run thus far by telling the story that in pure wrestling terms, 'The Realest Guy In The Room' wasn't in his opponent's league. Neville dominated throughout, with Amore restricted to fleeting hope spots for the bulk of the match, though he was able to outfox 'The King Of The Cruiserweights' in the end.

Enzo threatened to hit Neville with the title belt. The referee snatched it away, but Amore used the confusion to kick the champion low, then roll him up for the victory, winning his first WWE championship in the process.

Neville has been one of WWE's most consistently enjoyable performers in 2017, but both of his Cruiserweight Title runs have ended in disappointment. His first was broken for a pointless six-day Akira Tozawa run in August, and he has now dropped the gold to a wrestler who has been booked like an out-of-his-depth loser since splitting from Big Cass.

Expect the fallout from Enzo's title win to kick-off on tonight's Raw.
