Enzo Amore Hospitalised Before Last Night's WWE Raw

The Cruiserweight Champion's flu was as real as he is.

Enzo Amore was absent from last night's WWE Raw, with the company running the angle that he was stuck at home with the flu, preventing him from defending his Cruiserweight Championship against Cedric Alexander as advertised.

But unfortunately for 'The Realest Guy In The Room,' the illness was legitimate. Amore spent 10 hours in hospital ahead of last night's Raw, having broken the news on his Instagram page prior to the show, with WWE.com following up on the story a few hours later.

Enzo actually travelled to the arena post-hospitalisation, but was told to return to the medical facility after a quick evaluation from WWE doctors. Regardless, his name was all over the show. In one segment, Nia Jax left the building to bring the flu-stricken Cruiserweight Champion soup, and his sidekick, Drew Gulak, read a pre-prepared Amore promo in typically goofy style later on.

Alexander teamed with Goldust to face Gulak and Ariya Daivari instead of fighting for the title. There's no word on when Cedric will receive his shot, or if Amore will miss further TV time, but the WWE.com article suggests the match is still in the pipeline.
