Eric Bischoff Reveals WHY He's So Critical Of AEW

Tony Khan and Eric Bischoff have gone back and forth, but...why is Bisch so hard on AEW?

Eric Bischoff says he's often coming at AEW "from the perspective of a brand new viewer". The former WCW boss and WWE Hall Of Famer admits he doesn't watch programming like Dynamite, Collision or Rampage every week, but does critique a lot of the promotion's content via his various podcasts.

Both sides have been outspoken in the past. Bischoff has been critical of Tony Khan's handling of certain situations, and Tony has fired back on social media several times himself.

Bisch claims he "harps on this stuff" because he sees AEW "going too far satisfying an existing audience". He also explained this as "preaching to the choir". That's why he believes All Elite's TV ratings have been tumbling - they "focus on serving [an] existing audience exclusively and not paying attention to the things [they] need to be aware of in order to grow [an] audience".

Whenever he dips a toe back into AEW programming, Eric can see why the company is having a tough time growing as a brand. He also pointed out on 'Wise Choices' that Khan's behaviour online "is doing absolutely no favours to [AEW] in terms of growing their audience".

The battle rages on.
