AEW Revolution 2023 MJF Bryan Danielson
AEW

Revolution 2023 was another banger of a PPV from AEW, but it featured a main event so blisteringly brilliant that it elevates its standing in company folklore. MJF was in the middle of the longest reign in AEW World Championship history. His reputation as the future of pro wrestling had been discussed for years at this point, but this was the night MJF let the world know that he's one of the best there is right now.

Bryan Danielson is one of the best wrestlers to walk the earth. He is the measuring stick for in-ring greatness and, incredibly, his match with MJF was the first 60-minute Iron Man match of his career. The pair did not disappoint as this match was an absolute blast. Tied at 3-3, Danielson had MJF in a brutal submission attempt, but the champion held on until the timer reached zero to force sudden death, and eventually earned victory in dastardly fashion by hitting the challenger with a fire hydrant and tapping him out to his own Labell Lock. It was an instant classic.

Elsewhere, The House Of Black won a sensational match against The Elite to win the Trios title, Ricky Starks' victory over Chris Jericho in the night's opening bout was a massive crowd pleaser, and Jamie Hayter won a Triple Threat against The Outcasts, Saraya and Ruby Soho, in similarly rabble rousing fashion.
