Every Entrant Confirmed For WWE Royal Rumble 2020 (Women's)

Fewer than a third are confirmed for the women's Rumble.

Unlike this Sunday's men's Royal Rumble, which has left very little room for surprises in announcing a tedious 26 of its available 30 entrants, the third-ever women's edition largely remains a mystery. Whether intentional or down to a lack of attention, going into the show, only one a third of participants have been named for the match, meaning the propensity for a pop from the past is significantly higher.

In fact, of the nine names announced, only two have a realistic chance of winning the thing. That may well be point: let on that Shayna Baszler, so soon after dropping the NXT Championship, is going to be in Houston's Minute Maid Park, and you more or less telegraph the Queen of Spades pointing at a big piratey WrestleMania sign.

As with the men's Rumble, no NXT names at all are officially scheduled for the women's Rumble. Other notable absentees include Sasha Banks, and Kairi Sane, each of whom has a shout of heading to Tampa. That said, they're both on the poster (even if the latter has only just returned to action).

For now, these are the women we know for certain will emerge once the buzzer, um, buzzes.

9. Charlotte Flair

The Queen has accomplished just about everything in WWE, but she's never won a Royal Rumble. Predictable tedium gives her good odds of doing just that this year.

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
