The Great Kabuki, the innovator of the 'Asian mist' who had made his name in WCCW under Gary Hart and Skandor Akbar, was one of the men supposedly "hired" by Mr. Fuji to take out Lex Luger. He failed. Curiously, another of those men, Genichiro Tenryu, enjoyed the assignment so much that he returned for the next year's Rumble.
