You may be surprised to see these two names features so lowly on this list. But this particular meeting - their Last Man Standing match from One Night Stand 2008 - was cruelly cut short due to a legitimate, serious injury suffered by Orton.

With Triple H tossing his opponent over the top rope in a seemingly routine spot, an awkward landing saw Orton land on his shoulder, and in doing so he broke his collarbone.

Donning a brave face, Orton carried on, but there wasn’t much that could be done to save the match. In the end, Triple H fetched his sledgehammer to knock Orton down for the count, curtailing the match abruptly and bringing the contest to an unsatisfying, anti-climactic end.

No fault of the competitors, this was just an unfortunate hazard of the job, but enough to make this one of the less successful renditions of the Last Man Standing match-up.
