Every WWE Legend Set To Return For Evolution

WWE's first all-women PPV brings several old legends back to the forefront.

WWE's first ever all-women pay-per-view, Evolution, takes place this Sunday night (28 October), and while it looks like the show might fall short of Stephanie McMahon's original promise of "50 women past, present, and future," it's shaping up to be an exciting night.

Expertly built programmes between Nikki Bella and Ronda Rousey for the Raw Women's Championship, and Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair for the SmackDown strap, will likely take top billing. Both look tremendous, and with Alexa Bliss and Mickie James set to face Attitude Era icons Trish Stratus and Lita in a nostalgic tag and the one-two punch of Kairi Sane vs. Shayna Baszler and Io Shirai vs. Toni Storm satisfying the workrate crowd, the lineup ticks loads of boxes.

It would've been nice to see Asuka, Bayley, and Sasha Banks in bigger spots, as each is greatly undermined by their lowly positioning. Still, it'll probably be a fun show regardless.

Like the first women's Royal Rumble, Sunday evening is a celebration of everything that brought WWE's women's division to this remarkable point. As such, they're bringing plenty of familiar faces from their storied past along for the ride...
