As The Rock and Mick Foley tried to rekindle the magic of their 'This Is Your Life' segment from 1999, Evolution crashed the party, getting the jump on their WrestleMania XX opponents, and foreshadowing the inevitable outcome of their three-on-two handicap match at 'The Shows of Shows'.
With WrestleMania's tagline that year reading 'Where it all begins... again', the promise of a new dawn was in the air, so it's fitting that the go-home Raw before 'Mania would end by showcasing two of its future mega stars.
A line in the sand had been well and truly drawn.
