Ex-TNA Star Josh Alexander Expected To Sign With AEW Not WWE (AEW News)
Recent reports suggest former TNA World Champ Josh Alexander is AEW bound.

Fightful Select is reporting that former two-time TNA/Impact World Champion Josh Alexander is "expected" to sign on the dotted line with AEW rather than WWE. The website corroborated reports from PWInsider that Alexander is represented by super agent Barry Bloom during negotiations for his next step post-TNA.
Josh's deal with TNA expired on 14 February, and he's free to go elsewhere. Many within the wrestling world (and certainly fans on social media) had predicted that Alexander would join fellow TNA alumni Jordynne Grace in inking a deal with market leader WWE, but that no longer looks to be the case.
Fightful has confirmed with WWE sources that Josh hasn't signed a contract with Triple H's promotion. Interestingly, it also seemed like Alexander's future with All Elite would be wrapped up by close of business on Friday afternoon, but Tony Khan's league hasn't announced anything just yet.
It appears to be a matter of time before he gets one of those shiny #AllElite graphics though.
WWE Almost Used Alexander Last Year

Another interesting note to come out of Fightful Select's report is that WWE thought about using Alexander in 2024. Ultimately, he didn't come in either as a Royal Rumble guest entrant or via the NXT route like current TNA Champion Joe Hendry. That surprised some who thought it was a given Triple H and Shawn Michaels would want to use the former two-time champ in some capacity.
It didn't happen in the end.
Now, it looks like the ship has sailed on Josh doing anything with WWE. Tony Khan looks to have his man, and some are already saying in Fightful's comments and on X that Alexander will 'be a better fit' for AEW than WWE. His rugged in-ring style and no-nonsense approach could stand him in good stead on episodes of Dynamite and Collision.
Stay tuned for more on this story as and when it breaks, but it seems to be a safe bet that Josh Alexander is heading to AEW.
