Former WWE wrestler Big Damo, who worked for the promotion as Killian Dain, has admitted that he and Nikki A.S.H kept their relationship secret from the company for as long as possible.

Damo told Wrestling Inc that both were concerned about scuppering their individual chances if WWE found out that they were an item. Company top brass didn't actually find out they were a couple until Damo attended a tryout session before being signed in 2016.

Officials asked him why he happened to be in Orlando in the first place when he didn't live there. His answer? "I am seeing my fiancé". That's when then-Senior Director of Talent Development Canyon Cemen marched Damo over to Triple H (who was "going nuts" on a cross-trainer) and told him the situation.

'The Game' had no clue, and Damo described his reaction as "hilarious".

Both Damo and Nikki "wanted to do well off [their] own backs", and they figured that WWE might treat them differently if they knew the truth. So, they kept things on the down low and did everything in their power to ensure neither was a "hindrance" to the other.
