Recent rumours about this wrestler's WWE return are wide of the mark, she says.

Nia Jax claims she won't be making a dramatic WWE return at the company's Royal Rumble 2022 pay-per-view on 29 January.

Jax answered a series of fan questions during a special Q&A session on her official Instagram page. When asked about the possibilities of her showing up in St. Louis for the Rumble, she said such rumours were "false".

On her surprise WWE release, Nia added that "budget cuts" were cited as the reason. She doesn't think there's any interest on WWE's side about bringing her back so quickly, and she doesn't seem all that buzzed about the thought herself.

Typically, fans expect a few comebacks or debuts at the Rumble each year - both the men's and women's 30-strong brawls have played host to some memorable moments, but it doesn't look like Jax will be joining the list in 2022.

She's ruling herself out of Rumble contention, at least for now. Of course, things could change between now and 29 January. Either that or Nia is simply trying to throw people off the scent before the pay-per-view. It wouldn't be the first time that has happened.
