Former WWE wrestler Eva Marie was in hospital after suffering a severe allergic reaction to fire ant bites over Labor Day weekend in the United States.

Eva revealed as much in a video uploaded to her TikTok channel. Stating that she went into anaphylactic shock as a result of the fire ant bites, Eva has since recovered, having spent time in hospital around the 5 September holiday.

The former 'All Red Everything' has been out of professional wrestling since November 2021. Her second release from the promotion was announced that month, having previously been active as part of an onscreen alliance with Doudrop on Raw. Eva and Doudrop ended up splitting at SummerSlam 2021 that August, resulting in Marie all but disappearing from view, with her last bout taking place on the 20 September 2021 episode of Raw.

A divisive WWE wrestler throughout her time with the market-leading promotion, owing primarily to a mass rejection of her and her perceived in-ring shortcomings, Eva was originally with the company from 2013 to 2017.

Her career's peak came in 2015, when WWE expertly engineered the real criticisms thrown Marie's way to generate pro wrestling drama in a rivalry with NXT Women's Champion Bayley.
