Ex-WWE Star Lashes Out; Says Company 'Didn't Know' How To Use Him
This much-maligned former WWE man thinks he could've been so much more.
Released former WWE star Top Dolla says he doesn't hold any resentment towards the company or anybody who still works there, but nonetheless lashed out at creative during an appearance on Busted Open Radio.
The ex-Hit Row man claimed WWE's writers "didn't have an idea" of how to best use the faction across multiple spells on the roster. Dolla told listeners that he'd regularly lay down diss tracks designed to launch various feuds, and seemed peeved they never really made it to air on SmackDown.
Dolla is also a bit miffed that creative failed to follow up on anything with AJ Styles and The OC, not least because he was really enjoying working alongside greats like AJ.
Hit Row struggled to gain any traction when it was first called up to WWE's main roster in late-2021. Current AEW star Swerve Strickland was part of the group back then, but things fell apart quickly. Triple H handed the remaining members a reprieve by re-hiring them in August 2022, but it didn't take long for everyone to lose interest again.
Now, Top Dolla says he's happy to focus on himself, but bemoans WWE's lack of direction.
