Recently-released former WWE man Dijak has revealed that he knew he was doomed as soon as a writer text to let him know he was booked on the 30 May episode of 'C' show Main Event.

Dijak told Fightful's Sean Ross Sapp that one word instantly leapt into his mind when he saw the text: "F*ck". The ex-Retribution star also summed up his feelings on Main Event by adding: "That's a death sentence". He'd been going back and forth with the same creative team member since being moved up from NXT to Raw in WWE's 2024 Draft.

The NXT > main roster hopeful had heard "through the grapevine" that Triple H planned to use him on TV "every week". That sounded good to Dijak, but the Main Event announcement rocked his confidence. Dijak's contract eventually ticked down and he was let go on 27 June.

He aimed to "recover" his career prospects on the main roster, but knew Main Event wouldn't let him do that. For reference, Dijak put Pete Dunne over in a routine eight minute match on that episode. It wouldn't be his final WWE match though; Dijak did the honours for Xavier Woods in a WWE Speed match in mid-June before being cut loose.
