Ex-WWE Star Says Company Almost Rehired Him Earlier This Year

Triple H hasn't been in touch, but WWE's previous regime discussed this shocking comeback.

Alberto El Patron has revealed that "there were some approaches" from WWE management for talks with him earlier this year.

The former Alberto Del Rio, who has worked two stints with the company, told 'The Wrassingh Show' that he hasn't been back in touch with his old stomping ground since Triple H assumed control of WWE. Basically, this means that it was Vince McMahon who discussed the possibilities of bringing Alberto back into the fold at the turn of 2022.

That's still something El Patron wants to see happen someday.

He's hopeful of putting negativity behind him and trying to move on. A WWE comeback would be surprising to fans, but Alberto says he can't live his life worrying about people sniping at him on social media - El Patron did, however, admit that "this is not in my hands".

There's a chance Triple H has put a red pen through Del Rio's comeback and that's that. If not, then Alberto would be willing to sit down and talk to see if they can cut a deal. It's interesting to learn that McMahon considered it.
