Ex-WWE Star Says She's Retired From Wrestling

Don't expect to see this controversial former WWE star step back into company rings.

It looks like that's officially a wrap on Ronda Rousey's pro wrestling career. The ex-WWE worker posted some pics of family on her Instagram page, and included an interesting caption that teased she's done for good.

Ronda's caption? It was a Bernie Lumen quote from the Disney movie Elemental: "Sorry, I couldn't hear you through my retirement". Some fans are speculating online that Rousey might've been talking about something else, but most believe she's talking about wrestling.

The 'Baddest Woman On The Planet' departed WWE after putting ex-partner Shayna Baszler over in a poorly-received MMA-style match at SummerSlam on 5 August. Since then, Baszler has returned to singles action. She remains the only woman in wrestling to make Ronda submit, but creative hasn't really capitalised on that.

Rousey, who has a bunch of other projects on the go, seems to be enjoying some downtime with family. That's heartening to see, but most fans expected to see her back in WWE at some point. Now, it doesn't look like that's going to be the case.

Ronda had two runs with the company, and a third looks unlikely.
